Lindisfarne

The painting shows the 16th Century castle at Lindisfarne built by Henry VIII on the picturesque island otherwise known as Holy Island. When walking across the casueway it occured to me that such colourful illuminated works of the lindisfarne gospels were created in such a grey, misty place. 

I have depicted the currents and natural force of the sea by using knotwork the monks used to decorate the gospels. 

Any items that you are not completely satisfied with can be refunded or replaced within 28 days of receipt.Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging. The cost of the good will be refunded but there will be no refund for the postage and packaging costs.
